- Brief overview of ‘Background to the development of Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy unit standards’ document

Literacy and Numeracy Unit Standards – Unpacking the standards
- Organise people into 6 groups to form “expert panels”
- Hand out copies of standards
- Groups read the standard
- After completion, groups reconvene and provide a summary of the standards and how they might be assessed using naturally occurring evidence
- Feedback
- Give everyone a form to gather thoughts to inform feedback and instruct participants to complete online feedback
